Dental Lab Education - Full-Mouth Comprehensive Treatment Planning and Diagnostic Waxing
The Marriage of Function and Aesthetics
This Dental Lab Education course will focus on the marriage of function and aesthetics. It will be open to both dentists and ceramist, or you may come together as a team. Each participant or team will bring a case upon which future reconstructive treatment will be preformed. Each participant will present articulated models and slides and a full set of patient records. The patient's goals and desires will be adessed and a treatment strategy developed. Desirable changes in hard or soft tissue will be adessed. A diagnostic wax-up will be completed by each team and silicone stints for provisional restorations will be made. Ideal preparation design for each patient will be discussed and preparation guides will be made.
Participating teams will leave with a comprehensive treatment plan which adesses aesthetic and functional considerations as well as a plan for sequencing treatment.
The Dental Lab Education course will take place in Fall 2003 and will be taught by Matthew R Roberts and John Roberts.
